The community with a shared future for mankind is an important concept put forward by General Secretary, pointing out the direction for addressing global disputes. This is our understanding of this concept proposed by General Secretary. What kind of beauty does Chinese painting uphold? Chinese painting does not reflect negative human emotions or ugly things; instead, it captures all the vibrant and positive aspects of human society—serene grace and magnificent grandeur, the most wonderful things in human life, and it embodies hopes for future life. From an artistic perspective, I believe this aesthetic philosophy should be universally applicable. Whether in the East or the West, the pursuit of beauty is inherently the same.

Especially regarding Chinese aesthetics, with decades of development since the reform and opening-up, the world has come to understand more and more deeply the aesthetic values of the Chinese nation and of Chinese painting. For art, as a form of visual communication, serves as a visual vehicle for conveying civilization. We know that when it comes to the transmission of civilization, three forms come to mind: first, the written form, which records the progress of human civilization; second, sound, voice, and language; third, image recording. Image recording, when applied to our artistic creation, takes the form of painted imagery. Moreover, the recording through painted imagery is far more than a simple documentation of life. In the process of recording, it reflects a nation's understanding of culture, of life, of how people relate to one another in the world, and of beauty. I believe that elaborating on General Secretary's concept from the perspective of fine arts—from a visual and artistic angle—is an extremely important approach. Many artistic images depict the figures of ordinary people in life, and such images remain etched in our hearts through art. There are many such images: the image of a father, the image of an elderly farmer gathering stray ears of grain amid a bumper harvest. All these images directly reflect the vivid, flesh-and-blood figures in the concrete lives of the people, preserved through art. This is the first point.

Second, how should we understand the idea of using artworks to reflect what the people love? Artists should also contribute the finest things to the people. Beyond what people enjoy and can embrace, they should present the most essential, the most uplifting, and the best elements of the era—the finest spiritual nourishment—to guide the people's aesthetic appreciation. It is a more important historical mission for artists that everyone's aesthetic tastes, emotions, and the spirit of the times vibrate in harmony with the pulse of the era. Let the a hundred flowers in full bloom mirror the emotions of the era, reflect the sentiments of the people, connect everyone's hearts and spirits, and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind!
