Wen Chunying is an esteemed Professor with extensive expertise in the field of communication. She also serves as the Director of the Place Branding Research Center and Deputy Director of the Asia Media Research Center at the Communication University of China. As a Fulbright Scholar, she had the opportunity to conduct research in the USA, further enriching her knowledge and experience. Her research interests focus on international communication, national image, and place branding. She has authored 9 academic works and published over 30 academic articles in both Chinese and English. She has led more than 10 Government Sponsored Research Projects and over 30 Industry Engagement Projects of the Ministry of Education, the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television of China, and the SK China.

 

Professor Wen Chunying was awarded the first prize in the 10th Research Achievements Award of the Communication University of China in 2012 and won the Best Paper Award at the third International Place Branding Association Annual Conference in 2018. Her contributions extend beyond academia, as she holds various social part-time roles, including serving as the Vice Chairman of the Alliance of Colleges and Universities for International and Regional Research, a member of the Expert Group of Beijing Chaoyang District Overseas Friendship Association, and the Science and Film Integration Expert Committee of China Association for Science and Technology, among others.
