Dear Director Akram,
Congratulations to the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Futureon the official launch as an independent think tank in Pakistan, which will be significant for the cooperation with institutions both in Pakistanand world-widely.
Co-launched by the Communication University of China (CUC) and Centre for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS) in October 2020, the Pakistan Research Center has been playing a significant role in connecting universities, think tanksand experts in Pakistan, China and many countries in the world, which provides a platform for promoting the concept of “a Community with Shared Future for mankind”via a series of academic conferences, round table discussions, essay competitions, intern programs, etc. In 2021, the Pakistan Research Center was issued the Excellence Award of International Research Center by the Academic Network for a Community with Shared Future. As a distinguished International Research Center initiated by CUC, it has also introduced a lot on the concept of a Community with Shared Futurethrough national radio program, National Herald Tribune newspaper and CGSS official social media platforms, which brought about more understanding among academic community, teenager and public in Pakistan, of the concept and initiatives proposed by China.
Particularly mentioned here, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, who is the Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, has contributed much leading the Pakistan Research Center on the construction of mutual communication and research development. Mr. Khalid has published more than 10 excellent research papers, with analysis on international issues and the explanation of the concept of a Community with Shared Future, etc., which have been published on both CUC and CGSS websites. Moreover, Mr. Khalid has been interviewed by media in both China and Pakistan includingCGTN andRadio Pakistan for promoting the international understanding of China’s initiatives and know more about the collaboration between us, which have demonstrated great influences among Pakistan and China. Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram was presented the Outstanding Individual Contribution Awardby Ms. Bao Zhong, Counselor of Political and Media Section, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, on behalf of the CUC, in November 2021.
The Institute for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China appreciates all the efforts and contributions the Pakistan Research Center has done to bridge dialogue of civilizations between China and Pakistan, and strengthen the academic and research cooperation.
