THE WORLD HAS observed the rise of China at the start of the21st century, which molded the structure of the international system from unipolarity to multi-polarity. Within three decades of opening up to the world, China replaced Japan by becoming the second-largest economy and the largest exporting state. The rise of China in a short time span in the  international arena is considered a significant transformation at the global level. The development of China took place on many fronts step by step,  from security to economy and culture to environment but soon emerged from an isolated state to regional and then international power. From 1979 till 2016China's annual GDP was growing from an average annual rate of 10% due to the revolutionary economic reforms of Deng Xiaoping. The most vital feature in the rise of China was the promotion of Self Sufficiency in all the sectors, which came along with all reformist policies. China appeared with an exclusive identity under the visionary leadership of Xi Jinping, due to his assertive foreign policy. The Chinese government is building up his character and impact in international institutions including the United Nations. The motivation behind signing the United Nations charter was a sense of peace and security. Initially in the United Nations, China was indulged in developmental activities but now they are heading towards peace and security work by participating more in the security council.

From the very start. Security Council and General Assembly of the United Nations were commanded by the West. But 5o0n after 1971 when China joined this forum, it brought a drastic change in the power game. On the other hand, China becomes part of G77 which improved its bargaining position in the United Nation. This gathering of 134 nations incorporates a dominant part practically 70% of United Nations members. On account of this China is having Veto power as well as casting significant influence in G77.
